Dealer to dealer

Selling to someone who speaks the same language

Some of the best deals at a show happen between the tables. Another dealer wants a few of my books, we agree on a price, and here's where it gets good: we both run Too Many Comics.

I select the books and send them straight to their phone. AirDrop, done. The books land in their app's Inbox with everything I know about them: photos, metadata, condition, the works. One tap adds them to their inventory, and my records show the sale.

The label section of a book's record: a QR code named 7A9-52-A386, described as the copy's permanent identity, with Label attached toggled on and a Print label button.
The label is the copy's permanent identity, and it changes owners with the book.

The part that saves the most time is the labels. The barcode on each bag names the book, and the buyer's app takes over the barcode with the transfer: their scanner recognizes those same labels from now on, for their box audits, their show table, their Scan a Stack. No peeling, no relabeling, no re-photographing. The book changed owners; its identity came along.

Behind it: transfers ride the app's own share format, so a book keeps its permanent identity across the handoff. The import even checks for label collisions, so two dealers' labeling systems can meet without stepping on each other.
