Getting the boxes back to the truth

The show ends and the boxes come home lying to you. Books from no-deal stacks got refiled wherever they fit with a line forming. Some books sold. And a convention floor being what it is, maybe a book or two simply walked away. Your inventory still shows last week's tidy world.

Audit Box fixes that fast. Open a box, run the barcode scanner down it, and the app reconciles live as you go: this book belongs in another box, that book is recorded here but never got scanned. Every discrepancy lands in an Inventory Issues list that persists, so nothing depends on your memory of the weekend.

Then you work the list. A misfiled book gets moved to where it belongs, or kept where it is with the record updated to match. A missing book you classify: it turns out it sold, or it walked away. Both are things worth knowing, and they mean different things to your records. And the app is smart about it: a book flagged missing from one box that shows up in a later box's audit resolves itself. A few audits later your inventory is perfect again.

Behind it: the audit reads the same QR labels the show table uses, with a checklist mode for unlabeled books and hand entry by short code. Issues are tagged on the records themselves, so they survive until you resolve them, not until you close a screen.
